Blind, Deaf, Mute, Autistic, and Orphaned—Yet Holding onto Hope!
Outreach to Bayele Home of the Internally Displaced Children (IDPs)
When life is difficult for those without disabilities, it becomes even more challenging for orphaned children who are mentally or physically disabled. These vulnerable children often face neglect, exclusion, and immense hardships—especially during times of crisis. As part of its annual "Remember the Less Fortunate" initiative, Mother Africa International extended its support to Bayele Home for Internally Displaced Children (IDPs) on April 26, 2020. This rehabilitation center, located in Bamenda, North-Western Cameroon, provides shelter and care to children who have lost their homes due to violence, conflict, and war.
A Home for the Forgotten
Most of the children at Bayele Home live with disabilities, making their struggle for survival even more daunting. The COVID-19 pandemic worsened their situation, leaving them among the most vulnerable and in dire need of love, hope, and support.
Mother Africa International Steps In
Recognizing this urgent need, Mother Africa International reached out to Bayele Home, providing essential supplies to ease their burden. Donations included:
Clothes
To provide warmth and dignity.
Food supplies
To help sustain the children and caregivers.
Face masks
To protect them from the ongoing pandemic.
